Yesterday was the first ever Big Bash Obstacle Dash (and my first ever 5K!) in Quarryville, PA. I went with my good friends Jonah, Callie, Jenna, Dave, Kara and a handful of others.
We got to the event early to set up the PA and got the general run down of what the day had in store and then jumped in line for our dash bibs.
The dash included a tire shuffle, field of transporters to climb (I believe they were old horse trailers), plastic barrels, a mud pit, two sets of hot coals, and a paintball field…the rest I’ll keep a secret.
When we got to the Team Wall, we all worked together to get up and over the 10 foot wall to finish the race just a short distance beyond.

I am a huge fan of things of the past and enjoy studying the histories of old theme parks, beach towns, and old neighborhoods. I also enjoy the modern world of video games, as well as a good documentary, old homes and restoration, swimming, building things, watching movies, biking and rock climbing, collecting children’s books, teaching and helping those in need.
